Follow Kalae Highway (470) to the end, three-ish miles north of Kualapuu.
Over 200 acre park, which provides excellent photographic opportunities overlooking Makanalua Peninsula and Kaluapapa. Short walk to the Kalaupapa Lookout and Phallic Rock.

Papohaku Beach Park

$3/night camping permits from Parks & Recreation office in Kaunakakai – 808.553.3204
About a mile south of the Kaluakoi Resort area. On one of Hawaii’s longest white sand beaches, the park has restrooms, showers, BBQ facilities, picnic areas and camping spots.

One Ali’i Beach Park

$3/night camping permits from Parks & Recreation office in Kaunakakai – 808.553.3204
About 3 miles east of Kaunakakai. Has restrooms, showers, pavilion, picnic and camping areas. Beach is nice to stroll and search, but water is too shallow and silty to swim.

Murphy’s Beach Park

No overnight camping.
Mile 20 east of Kaunakakai. Nice beach and swimming. Most popular snorkeling beach on the island

About 1.5 miles up Kalae Highway (470) from Kualapu’u. Right by the sugar mill. Delightful course with beautiful vistas and inexpensive greens fees.
